Overlanding is self-reliant overland travel to remote destinations where the journey is the principal goal. Typically, but not exclusively, it is accomplished with mechanized off-road capable transport where the principal form of lodging is camping, often lasting for extended lengths of time and spanning international boundaries. - Wikipedia

I grew up overlanding, as a child in a VW bus on Wyoming dirt roads in search of wild places and adventures.

My father was into extreme outdoor sports before there was any gear. We did it anyway, in VW Vans! My Pop owned 14 VW vans over the years, and we wore them out.

He showed us wild Wyoming and beyond, every weekend, year round.

Exploring jeep roads in a van looking for places to go canoeing, hiking, biking, skiing and camping out of vans. Overland to Alaska and to Mexico, across Europe, all VWs!

Often getting them stuck, sometimes going miles to the nearest ranch to get the VW pulled out of some nasty mudhole that was in our way to adventure.

I loved it all, except for getting stuck, I always thought that sucked and vowed to have 4 wheel drive when I grew up.

When I got my 1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup, I headed out to the most remote crazy roads to hidden campsites and ancient dwellings in Wyoming, and never looked back. Taking that truck and others on ten of thousands of dirt miles all across Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona.

Bob the Revel is not a Jeep or a rockcrawler but is a uniquely capable 4x4 Camper that can take you to experiences you never dreamed off.

Best of all when you arrive you will have everything you could possibly need to really rough it in style.

If you have never driven a full size 4X4 vehicle, no problem. A short driving lesson is available after orientation to make sure you are totally comfortable before heading out on your own.

Bob the Revel is named after my Pop, and in honor of his sense of adventure. A great explorer. We travelled in VW Vans with him all over the West, to Alaska, to Mexico.

In vans loaded down for fun with bicycles, canoes, backpacking gear and kids.

Nature Calls, Bob will take you to great adventures, it's what he lives for.
